CNA Classes in Vermont

In Vermont, a CNA is known as a licensed nurse’s aide (LNA) rather than a CNA. The state requirements, however, are very much similar to other state requirements. An accredited and certified LNA is required to be completed by individuals that want to pursue this career path in the state of Vermont. Students to become an LNA must be well-versed in the basics of nursing and are required to take at least a three hour course in the field and provide proof to the state licensing board that they completed it successfully. \

The program must include seventy-five hours of instruction that includes other coursework and also a clinical studies portion. This practical portion must be completed and the institution can require up to an additional thirty for students. The price of these courses varies depending on the teaching institution.

Vermont then requires students to bring the proper documentation and sit for the licensing exam of the state. This exam consists of a written portion and a physical clinical assessment as well. Both parts must be passed before they will be considered an LNA in the state of Vermont and a background check must also be passed. A fee of roughly one-hundred dollars is the cost of this exam.
