Requirements for being a CNA in Michigan
There are a couple of things you need to keep in mind if you are looking for suitable CNA classes in Michigan, besides having a high school diploma at least. And one of them is to make sure that the class you enroll in teaches the students a lot of practical skills, and not concentrate too much on lectures. Michigan state certification exams for nursing assistants are composed of two parts: written exams and the practical exams. If you excel I the written part of the exam but failed in the practical part, you will still fail and will have to retake the entire thing all over again; this is the reason why attending a class that also teaches practical skills is a must.

Another thing you need to remember about Michigan's CNA exams is that you need to take actual CNA classes to become eligible, online classes are not acceptable. Even though a lot of the online CNA training courses are quite good, you will still be ineligible to take the state mandated exam for CNAs if you did not graduate from an actual state certified CNA training course.

Once you have completed your CNA training program, you need to pass the competency test before you are even allowed to take the actual CNA examination. Once you pass the competency test, you will be given an ATT (Authorization to Test) and within one year you are eligible to take the certification exam; if one year passed and you still have not taken the certification exam, your ATT will expire and you will need to get a new one by taking another competency test.
